Montauk Credit Union is proud to announce our upcoming core system upgrade the weekend of August 2, 2013. The core processing system is the computer system that Montauk uses to maintain member’s accounts and loans, and to process transactions.
We’re excited about this update to a new core processing system as it will allow us to offer new state of the art financial products and services you deserve. Hardware upgrades, system changes, and extensive training will enable us to serve you more efficiently and bring you even greater service improvement in the future. New products and services will continue to be introduced in the future.
Specifics that will affect your Credit Union accounts:
- The upgrade will occur the weekend of August 2, 2013.
- Our branch office will be closed Monday August 5, 2013. Online banking and audio banking will be unavailable all weekend.
- You can access your accounts through the weekend with your ATM/debit cards.
- Your account statements will have a new look, and will be easier to read and better organized beginning with your statement ending September 30, 2013.
- Online Banking has a new look and functionality – Easy to follow tabs make using this new system a breeze.
- Online Banking and Audio Banking (Mon-Talk) users will use a temporary PIN (the last four digits of the primary account holder’s social security number). You will reset the PIN the first time the new systems are accessed.
- Your user name in the online banking can be changed from your account number to whatever name you decide.
- Your base account (member) number will remain the same.
- Suffix numbers will change from letters to numbers. There will be a description of the account next to the new suffix number.
You will immediately benefit from this upgrade in many ways including:
- Enhanced online banking - including 12 months of history, set up of auto transfers, download account data, etc.
- E-statements
- Enhanced security features including scanning IDs to ensure identification
- Mobile Banking – access your accounts via browser on your smart phone or tablet
- Account to account transfers – ability to move funds to and from your credit union accounts
- Enhanced audio response system
- And more!
